Tasks of the Department for Commercialization of Scientific and Innovative Developments:
carrying out activities on the legal protection of the university’s intellectual property, including preparation and оформление of applications for patenting and registration of intellectual property objects in the Republic of Uzbekistan and abroad;
in accordance with the established procedure, coordinating the implementation of research works carried out by university professors and teachers, academic support and production staff, doctoral candidates, students, as well as research works submitted by the university to customers and financed from budgetary and extra-budgetary sources;
preparing, concluding agreements with authors of intellectual property objects предусмотренных действующим законодательством, and monitoring their implementation;
together with other подразделения, studying possibilities for transferring rights to the university’s intellectual property objects, carrying out work related to the transfer of rights to the university’s intellectual property objects;
collecting and storing information and entering into the university database data on developments of higher education institutions and results of scientific-research activity (SRA), implementing measures to increase the efficiency of the use of results of intellectual activity;
organizing the evaluation, analysis and examination of the scientific-technical, scientific-methodological and innovative potential of SRA and innovative project results;
developing recommendations on intellectual property management, including accounting, distribution and transfer of rights to SRA results at all stages of the innovation cycle;
creating and promoting competitive scientific and technical products, in particular ensuring the targeted use of Innovation Fund resources, supporting the university’s scientific teams;
providing consulting services on technology transfer, preparation of business plans for innovative projects, assessment of competitive advantages and risks, legal protection of SRA results, and search for potential investors;
preparing and monitoring contracts for research and experimental design works, contract works, international scientific-technical cooperation and intellectual property issues concluded by the university;
identifying cases of improper use of the university’s intellectual property and submitting proposals to the management on preventing the specified violations and compensating damages, taking necessary measures to eliminate these violations;
protecting the university’s intellectual property objects, property rights, as well as the authors’ property and personal non-property rights;
providing legal консультации to university employees – authors of intellectual property objects on their property and non-property rights, including the implementation of rights and benefits предусмотренных действующим законодательством;
organizing education in the field of intellectual property among university employees;
coordinating the activities of the university’s information-resource center in the area of нормативной, методологической and patent information within its field of activity;
preparing proposals for the university budget project in the areas of invention and patent licensing activities, support of innovative entrepreneurship and technology transfer;
developing documents regulating issues related to the creation, protection and use of the university’s intellectual property objects.
